Desert Sprinkle

                      Desert Sprinkle
Desert Sprinkle is a desert diorama that I produced for a Hackathon. It is a semi-accurate representation of a desert that serves as a stage for 2 tanks that I 3D printed. I made this project because I was inspired by the nature-themed projects that other CRT students made, and I wanted to combine the concept of a nature diorama with my passion for tanks. Desert Sprinkle is comprised of 15 pounds of sand, a laser-cut box with sand glued to the side, random rocks and plants I found outside, and 2 meticulously hand-painted tanks.
Step 1: I 3D Printed and painted the tanks. 1 was resin printed and very detailed as a result, but due to the strange nature of a resin print it exploded itself. One was printed on a standard Ender 3.
The second step was to laser cut and assemble a suitable box, as well as to glue excess sand onto the sides (this was a very bad idea, I should have just painted it)
The 3rd Step was to add random bits of nature (rocks, plants, debris) to the diorama to make it look natural.
The 4th step was to add the tanks, as well as a smoking crater for effect.
